Day 1
Arrival in San José
After your arrival you will be welcomed by your guide.
He will take you on this amazonic adventure for the next days..jpg)
You will be taken to Hotel Palma Real for your first overnight in Costa Rica.
Day 2
San José - Tortuguero
You will be picked up early by your guide, who will take you to the restaurant where you will enjoy a hearty breakfast.
On the way you will visit a banana processing and packing plant. Your guide can explain everything about the banana plantations.
Then you will arrive at the docks in Caño Blanco. Here you will board a boat in order to arrive to the lodge.
At Pachira Lodge you will be welcomed with a fruit cocktail.
Lunch will be enjoyed at the lodge.
After lunch you will be taken by boat to the small and picturesque Tortuguero Village. Here you can get a real taste of the Caribbean way of life.

Day 3
Tortuguero
Get up early for a dawn canal tour! Wake up with the birds and monkeys. Because of the early hour, you will be able to see a rich variety in wildlife. Get the best shots of a real Caribbean sunrise.
After breakfast you will be hiking in the national park of Tortuguero. Many animals such as snakes and monkeys may be spotted here; and you will be amazed by the variety in plants and trees in the primary and secondary forest.

After lunch in the afternoon hop on board again for another lovely canal tour through the National Park. You may encounter the endangered manatee, or spot a flock of toucans. Take your binoculars and camera!
Dinner and overnight at Pachira Lodge.
Day 4
Tortuguero - San José
After breakfast you will be taken back again by boat and bus to San José. You will have lunch on the way before arriving to the capital city.

What to bring: raincoat / poncho; light clothes with non-flashy colors (green, black, grey, brown); insect repellent; hat (against sun); sun screen lotion; binoculars; camera.
